About Rastla

What is Rastla?
Rastla is a dating app. Every profile is verified, everyone says up front what they're looking for, and every card shows what two people have in common. Our slogan: Meet on purpose, not by chance.
Where does the name come from?
Rastla is Turkish for "come across": the imperative of the verb rastlamak. Instead of waiting for chance, it's about coming across real people who know what they're looking for.
What does it do differently?
- Every profile is verified. During sign-up you go through a short video face check: you make three moves the screen asks for, and your face is compared with your profile photos. Unverified accounts never show up in anyone's deck and can't send messages.
- You say what you want up front. You pick one of seven options, from marriage to just chatting. Your intent shows on your profile, and people looking for the same thing come first in your “For you” deck.
- You see what you have in common. Every card shows what brings the two of you closer, for example "You're both looking for a relationship."
Rules that never bend
- Your verification video never leaves your phone; no face template is stored.
- Your exact location is never shown to anyone; only an approximate distance is.
- Location and device data are removed from the photos you upload.
- Unverified accounts can't send messages.
When does it launch?
The open beta starts in November 2026. The first version will be on Google Play for Android; there is no date for iOS yet. It's free during the open beta. Rastla is for people aged 18 and over.
